Created from the field service department of Advanced Collection Systems, ACS Utility Services has almost two decades experience managing Ofgem and Ofwat compliant meter disconnection and other site services for water, gas, and electricity utilities across the UK.
Separating the field services business from ACS has given it the independence needed to develop its services. Its nationwide network of field representatives work with the collection teams of utility providers as well as the debt recovery team in its sister company ACS.
At the time of the launch Lisa Phillips, Managing Director of ACS, commented.
"This is a strategic move for ACS but one which will give immediate benefits to our utility clients. We expect significant efficiencies to come out of the separation. Also as the installed base of smart meters grows we see an increasing need for site attendance to confirm vulnerability or tenancy status before remote disconnection is activated.
